ML-600MTY

Complex Parts, 10-Inch Class, One Chucking

The ML-600MTY is a medium-bed linear way CNC turning center combining sub-spindle and Y-axis for the 10-inch chuck class. Parts that need turning on both ends plus off-center features, and that outgrow an 8-inch machine in grip or length, are finished here in a single chucking: the 6-inch sub-spindle handles the back end mid-cycle, while C-axis and live tooling, standard with ±50 mm of Y-axis travel, machine the flats, cross-holes, and keyways.

Machining length runs to about 710 mm with a Φ86 mm spindle bore, and the linear way construction keeps cycle times competitive at volume. The main-to-sub transfer is proven on your part before shipment.

ML-600MTY or Its Siblings?

Within the linear way TY family, the ML-600TY covers parts to about 475 mm on an 8-inch chuck, the ML-600MTY reaches about 710 mm on a 10-inch chuck, and the ML-600LTY extends to about 1,210 mm for long parts.

Back end needs turning only? The ML-600MT makes live tooling optional. Single-ended parts with off-center features? The ML-600MY carries the Y-axis without the sub-spindle. Heavier cuts? The BML-600MTY is the box way version.

Q: What is the maximum machining length of the ML-600MTY?

A: Up to 710 mm with the standard 10-inch main chuck, depending on turret type (690 mm with BMT65, 710 mm with VDI40). The sub-spindle carries a 6-inch chuck running up to 6,000 rpm.

Q: When should I choose the ML-600MTY over the ML-600TY?

A: When your parts exceed the TY's roughly 475 mm envelope or need a 10-inch chuck grip, with the same sub-spindle plus Y-axis capability.

Q: What is the difference between the ML-600MTY and the ML-600MT?

A: The MTY adds Y-axis machining with C-axis and live tooling as standard for off-center features on either end. On the MT, live tooling is optional and there is no Y-axis.
