Done-in-One Turning on a Box Way Platform

The BML-600T is a box way CNC turning center with sub-spindle, built for parts in the 8-inch chuck class that need machining on both ends: back faces, second threads, bores from the other side. When front-end operations finish, the 6-inch sub-spindle takes the part directly from the main spindle, both spindles synchronized, and the back end is machined in the same cycle. The part comes off finished, with no second setup and no re-clamping error.

The box way construction is hand-scraped along its full length for the damping and stability that heavier cutting demands. C-axis and live tooling are optional on this configuration, so if your back end needs turning only, you skip the cost of milling capability you will not use. Before shipment, the main-to-sub transfer is proven on your part at our factory.

BML-600T or Its Siblings?

Within the box way sub-spindle family, the BML-600T covers parts up to about 475 mm with the 8-inch main chuck, the BML-600MT extends to about 710 mm on a 10-inch chuck, and the BML-600LT reaches about 1,210 mm for long parts.

Parts carrying off-center features on either end? The BML-600TY adds Y-axis with C-axis and live tooling standard. Lighter cutting at production pace? The ML-600T is the linear way version (see: Box Way vs Linear Way).

Q: What is the maximum machining length of the BML-600T?

A: Up to 475 mm with the standard 8-inch main chuck (465 mm with the optional 10-inch). The sub-spindle carries a 6-inch chuck with a Φ56 mm bore, running up to 6,000 rpm.

Q: When should I choose the BML-600T over the BML-600MT or BML-600LT?

A: When your parts fit within about 475 mm and the 8-inch chuck class. The MT steps up to a 10-inch chuck and about 710 mm; the LT reaches about 1,210 mm for long parts.

Q: Are C-axis and live tooling included on the BML-600T?

A: They are optional, not bundled. If your back end needs turning only, you can specify the machine without live tooling; if you need back-end milling or cross-drilling, add the option or consider the BML-600TY with Y-axis.
