The Production Workhorse of the 600 Family

The ML-600S is a linear way CNC turning center in the 8-inch chuck class, built for straightforward, cycle-time-driven turning: fittings, connectors, bushings, and precision components at production pace. Machining length runs to 560 mm, the spindle reaches 4,500 rpm through a Φ62 mm bore, and the linear way construction keeps traverse and positioning fast between cuts.

The 30-degree bed handles chip flow and rigidity for light-to-medium cutting, and C-axis with live tooling is available as an option when parts need milled features without stepping up to a Y-axis machine. This is the foundation the rest of the 600 family builds on.

ML-600S or Its Siblings?

Within the base configurations, the ML-600S covers parts to 560 mm on an 8-inch chuck, the ML-600M steps up to a 10-inch chuck and 780 mm, and the ML-600L reaches 1,280 mm for long work.

Parts carrying off-center features? The ML-600Y adds Y-axis with live tooling standard. Both ends needing machining in one cycle? The ML-600T adds a sub-spindle. Heavier, interrupted cuts? The BML-600S is the hand-scraped box way version (see: Box Way vs Linear Way).

Q: What is the maximum machining length of the ML-600S?

A: 560 mm with the standard 8-inch chuck, or 540 mm with the optional 10-inch chuck.

Q: When should I step up from the ML-600S to the ML-600M?

A: When your parts need a 10-inch chuck grip or exceed the 560 mm envelope. The ML-600M extends machining length to 780 mm with a wider Φ86 mm spindle bore.

Q: Does the ML-600S support live tooling?

A: C-axis and live tooling are available as an option. For parts where off-center milling is central to the work, the ML-600Y includes them as standard with Y-axis travel.
