Heavy Cutting Across 1,280 mm

The BML-600L is a long-bed box way CNC turning center, extending the 600 platform to 1,280 mm of machining length for shafts, screws, and long components in tough materials. On a long bed, guideway consistency is everything: any error accumulates across the full travel, which is why the box way is hand-scraped along the entire extended bed, the same craft as every BML machine, applied over more length.

The 10-inch chuck and Φ86 mm bore carry the grip long work needs, the tailstock travels the full 1,000 mm, and for high length-to-diameter parts the steady rest is configured and tested for your workpiece before the machine ships. For the full selection logic on long work, see our Long-Bed CNC Turning Centers guide.

BML-600L or Its Siblings?

Within the base configurations, the BML-600S covers parts to 560 mm, the BML-600M to 780 mm, and the BML-600L reaches 1,280 mm. Beyond that, the 800 series carries machining lengths to 3,000 mm.

Long parts with features along their length? The BML-600LY adds Y-axis with live tooling standard. Both ends in one cycle? The BML-600LT adds a sub-spindle. Lighter cuts at speed? The ML-600L is the linear way version.

Q: What is the maximum machining length of the BML-600L?

A: 1,280 mm with the standard 10-inch chuck, or 1,260 mm with the optional 12-inch chuck, with tailstock travel of 1,000 mm.

Q: Should I choose the BML-600L, BML-600LY, or BML-600LT?

A: The BML-600L handles single-ended long parts that need turning only. Choose the LY when features run along the length and need Y-axis milling; choose the LT when both ends must be finished in one cycle.

Q: Does the BML-600L support a steady rest for slender parts?

A: Yes. For high length-to-diameter workpieces, the steady rest arrangement is configured and tested for your part before the machine ships.
