The ML-600LTY is the most capable configuration in the 600 linear way family: long bed, sub-spindle, and Y-axis on one machine. It exists for long parts that carry features everywhere: keyways and cross-holes along the length, plus back faces, threads, and bores on the second end. The part stays chucked from first cut to finished component, with the 6-inch sub-spindle taking over mid-cycle and live tooling, standard with ±50 mm of Y-axis travel, machining the off-center work.
Machining length runs to about 1,210 mm on the 10-inch main chuck, with linear way speed across the long traverses. The steady rest is configured for your workpiece before shipment, and the main-to-sub transfer is proven on your part at our factory.
Within the linear way TY family, the ML-600TY covers parts to about 475 mm, the ML-600MTY to about 710 mm, and the ML-600LTY reaches about 1,210 mm.
Long part, back end needs turning only? The ML-600LT makes live tooling optional. Long part, single-ended? The ML-600LY carries Y-axis without the sub-spindle, at up to about 1,260 mm. See also: Long-Bed CNC Turning Centers and Sub-Spindle CNC Turning Centers.
A: Up to 1,210 mm with the standard 10-inch main chuck, depending on turret type (1,190 mm with BMT65, 1,210 mm with VDI40). The sub-spindle carries a 6-inch chuck running up to 6,000 rpm.
A: The LTY adds a sub-spindle for back-end machining in the same cycle, trading about 50 mm of machining length. The LY is the single-ended version with a slightly longer 1,260 mm envelope.
A: When the long part also carries off-center features. The LTY includes Y-axis with C-axis and live tooling as standard; on the LT they are optional and there is no Y-axis.
