The BML-800 Y brings Y-axis machining to the heavy end of the lineup: a Φ800 mm swing box way platform with a 15-inch chuck, 925 mm of machining length, and ±80 mm of Y-axis travel, the widest in our turning range. C-axis and live tooling come standard, so flats, cross-holes, and keyways on large flanges, hubs, and short shafts are machined in the same chucking as the turning.
The 60-degree bed inclination and hand-scraped box way carry the rigidity that off-center cutting on heavy parts demands, and the gearbox spindle keeps torque up at large diameters.
Longer parts with the same capability? The BML-800MY reaches 1,925 mm and the BML-800LY extends to 2,925 mm. Turning only? The BML-800S keeps the full 1,000 mm envelope without the Y-axis. Smaller parts? The BML-600 Y family covers the 8-to-10-inch classes (see: Y-Axis CNC Turning Centers).

A: When part size outgrows the 10-inch class. The 800Y steps up to a 15-inch chuck, Φ600 mm machining diameter, and a gearbox spindle built for large-diameter torque.
A3: The Y adds Y-axis machining with C-axis and live tooling as standard, trading 75 mm of machining length (925 versus 1,000 mm) for done-in-one milled features.
