BML-600MY

Heavier Cutting in the Mid-Length Class

The BML-600MY is a medium-bed box way CNC turning center with Y-axis, built for parts in the 10-inch chuck class that combine tougher cutting with off-center features: flats, cross-holes, keyways, and eccentric drilling machined in the same chucking as the turning. C-axis and live tooling come standard.

The box way construction is hand-scraped along its full length, giving the vibration damping and long-term geometric stability that heavy or interrupted cuts demand. Compared with the 8-inch-class BML-600Y, this configuration steps up in grip, spindle bore, and machining length for larger parts, not only longer ones.

Key Specifications

  • Swing: Φ600 mm over bed, Φ450 mm over saddle
  • Chuck: 10-inch standard, 12-inch optional
  • Maximum machining length: up to 760 mm with the 10-inch chuck (exact figure depends on turret type)
  • Y-axis travel: ±50 mm, with C-axis and live tooling standard
  • Spindle: 50 to 3,500 rpm (10-inch), Φ86 mm bore, Φ91 or Φ105 mm optional

Full specifications are in the table below.

BML-600MY or Its Siblings?

Within the box way Y-axis ladder, the BML-600Y covers parts up to about 520 mm on an 8-inch chuck, the BML-600MY reaches about 760 mm on a 10-inch chuck, and the BML-600LY extends to about 1,260 mm for long work.

Running lighter cuts at production pace? The ML-600MY carries the same Y-axis package on linear guideways (see: Box Way vs Linear Way). Need back-end machining in the same cycle? The BML-600MTY adds a sub-spindle.

Q: What is the maximum machining length of the BML-600MY?

A: Up to 760 mm with the standard 10-inch chuck, depending on turret type (720 mm with BMT65, 760 mm with VDI40). The optional 12-inch chuck reduces this slightly.

Q: Where does the BML-600MY sit between the BML-600Y and BML-600LY?

A: It is the middle step: the BML-600Y covers parts to about 520 mm on an 8-inch chuck, the BML-600MY to about 760 mm on a 10-inch chuck, and the BML-600LY reaches about 1,260 mm for long parts.

Q: Should I choose the BML-600MY or the ML-600MY?

A: Both carry the same Y-axis package and 10-inch chuck class. The BML-600MY's hand-scraped box way suits heavier and interrupted cutting; the ML-600MY's linear way suits cycle-time-driven production.
